Sandy River Project
Site #2

(SRP2)

Terrain

This property has a year-round creek bordering it on the west and south. The creek is more than twenty-five feet below the level of the house, giving any animals a deep gully in which to remain hidden. Upon my first inspection of this gully, mountain lion footprints were found.

Adding to the squatchiness of the property are several ponds, multiple marshlands, and power lines within a mile or so from the land. Deer sign was abundant on and around this property, and an elk print was discovered in the nearby woods.

Possible Bigfoot Activity

The property has not been owned by TR for very long as of this writing, and he lives at his other property, leaving this site vacant. Yet, in the few short months he has been frequenting the property, a possible encounter has already occurred:

The structure on the property is being renovated to make it more habitable. One night, a contractor returned to the vacant property to retrieve a tool left there earlier in the day. He was greeted with a very strong and unpleasant odor emanating from the nearby woods. This man hunts both elk and bear, and said that this odor was more unpleasant, and was something he had never smelled before. It scared him, and he left immediately.

This property is only a short distance from the location of a nearby sighting from the summer of 2008. It is also close to TR's other property.

Steps to gather data

I believe this location has a very high probability of being visited by sasquatches on an occassional, yet regular basis. I have spoken to the property owner about upgrades to his property that might entice a bigfoot to "check in on things" more often. We will experiment with food "offerings" and permanent installments to see what gets noticable results.

This elk was not camera-shy.
This video was obtained in a nearby creek.

Trail cameras have been placed at multiple locations on the property. The river gully is being watched, as are the woods from where the stink originated in the contractor's encounter.

What you can do

It is my belief that properties are visited by sasquatches more often than most might think. These animals move stealthily under the cover of darkness, and probably drop by rural properties and raid obvious food supplies on an occasional, yet regular basis. Small amounts of food can be stolen without drawing the attention of the property owners. More often than not, a property owner in this situation would blame the other, more common wildlife for the theft.

Property owners who think they are experiencing visits from a sasquatch can take steps to obtain data that would be useful for those studying these animals. If you think that you have a nocturnal visitor, or are experiencing strange things on and around your property, I'd be interested in hearing about it. Perhaps I can help you obtain compelling evidence for the existence of the sasquatch.

Rest assured, I do not wish to harm a sasquatch in any way. I only use passive techniques for bigfooting. All witness identities will be withheld from reports.
